Shipping & Delivery Policy

Effective Date: September 9, 2026Last Updated: September 9, 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how shipping, freight, warehouse pickup, delivery estimates, delivery service levels, appointments, access requirements, delays, and delivery-related issues are handled for purchases made through Retail Blackbook.

This Policy supplements the Retail Blackbook Terms of Use & Sale.

Where a product, approved freight quote, checkout disclosure, or other transaction-specific term provides more specific shipping or delivery information for a particular order, that more specific information will control for that order to the extent of any direct conflict, subject to applicable law.

1.Shipping and Delivery Are Product-Specific

Retail Blackbook offers furniture and home furnishings from multiple independent manufacturers, suppliers, warehouses, and fulfillment locations.

Shipping and delivery availability and pricing may vary based on factors including:

  • manufacturer or supplier;
  • product;
  • product category;
  • product size and weight;
  • quantity;
  • warehouse or shipping origin;
  • destination ZIP code;
  • geographic service area;
  • delivery service level;
  • carrier availability;
  • special handling requirements;
  • and other fulfillment considerations.

Not every delivery option is available for every product or destination.

Retail Blackbook’s fulfillment system may apply product-specific, manufacturer-specific, category-specific, variant-specific, geographic, quoted-freight, or marketplace-default delivery rules when determining available options and pricing.

2.Delivery Estimator

Retail Blackbook may provide a ZIP-code delivery estimator in the shopping cart.

A result such as:

“Delivery options starting at $149”

is a preliminary informational estimate based on the products currently in the cart, the ZIP code entered, applicable fulfillment information, and any approved freight charges associated with the cart at the time the estimate is requested.

The estimator is intended to give customers a helpful indication of the lowest currently calculable delivery option for the applicable cart and destination.

The estimator:

  • does not select a delivery method;
  • does not reserve a delivery rate;
  • does not guarantee availability of a particular service level;
  • does not modify the cart;
  • and does not replace the final delivery determination at checkout.

Warehouse Pickup is not treated as a delivery method when calculating a displayed “Delivery options starting at” amount.

If an actual delivery method legitimately has no delivery charge, the estimator may display “Free.”

If delivery requires a custom quote, the estimator may state:

“Delivery quote required.”

If a reliable delivery amount cannot yet be calculated, the estimator may state:

“Delivery pricing available at checkout.”

Changing products, quantities, destination ZIP code, approved freight information, or other fulfillment details may change an estimate.

Final eligible delivery options and applicable delivery pricing are confirmed during checkout or through an approved custom freight quote.

3.Multi-Manufacturer and Multi-Shipment Orders

Retail Blackbook is a multi-brand marketplace.

Products purchased in the same order may originate from different manufacturers, vendors, warehouses, or geographic locations.

As a result:

  • products may ship separately;
  • products may arrive on different dates;
  • different carriers may be used;
  • different tracking information may be issued;
  • and separate manufacturer fulfillment charges may be combined into the delivery charge presented to the customer.

Retail Blackbook does not guarantee consolidation of products from different manufacturers into one shipment or one delivery appointment.

A partial shipment does not necessarily mean the remainder of an order is missing or delayed.

4.Custom Freight Quotes

Certain products, destinations, manufacturers, quantities, or delivery situations may require a custom freight quote.

A custom freight quote applies only to the products, quantities, destination, and other conditions for which it was prepared.

Changing the order or destination may require a revised quote.

Custom freight quotes may be subject to an expiration period or changing carrier availability.

Where a valid approved custom freight amount is associated with an order, Retail Blackbook may combine that amount with other applicable delivery charges for products in the same cart that use standard fulfillment calculations.

Retail Blackbook will not invent an estimated amount for delivery charges that require a custom quote.

If a material additional shipping or delivery charge becomes necessary after purchase because of a customer-requested address change, missed appointment, inaccessible delivery location, requested additional service, storage, reconsignment, or another circumstance not included in the original transaction, the customer may be responsible for the resulting reasonable charge to the extent permitted by law.

5.Delivery Service Levels

Depending on the product and destination, Retail Blackbook may offer service levels such as Warehouse Pickup, Curbside or Standard Delivery, Room of Choice Delivery, White Glove Delivery, or another service specifically described during checkout.

The service description presented for the applicable transaction controls.

General descriptions are:

Warehouse Pickup

When offered, the customer or the customer’s authorized representative picks up merchandise from the designated pickup location.

Pickup does not include home delivery.

Customers are responsible for arriving during applicable pickup hours or appointment windows and using a vehicle suitable for safely transporting the merchandise.

Unless expressly included, Retail Blackbook or warehouse personnel are not responsible for securing merchandise inside or onto a customer’s vehicle.

Damage occurring after merchandise has been picked up because of customer transportation, loading, tie-down, weather exposure, or subsequent handling is not considered freight damage caused by Retail Blackbook, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.

Curbside / Standard Delivery

Generally means delivery to a reasonably accessible exterior, curbside, driveway, loading, or similar location associated with the delivery address, as determined by the applicable carrier and the service purchased.

Curbside delivery generally does not include inside placement, room placement, assembly, packaging removal, installation, or moving existing furniture unless expressly stated.

Room of Choice Delivery

Generally includes delivery inside the residence or building and placement into one reasonably accessible room selected by the customer.

Room of Choice does not include assembly, installation, wall mounting, electrical work, plumbing work, modification of the property, or packaging removal unless expressly stated as included.

White Glove Delivery

White Glove is a premium delivery service whose exact included services may vary by product, destination, carrier, and provider.

Where offered, the checkout or order-specific service description will identify included services.

Assembly, packaging removal, setup, installation, stair carries, moving existing furniture, wall mounting, electrical work, plumbing work, or other additional services are included only when expressly stated.

Delivery teams are not required to perform work they determine to be unsafe or outside the purchased service.

6.Delivery Areas and Address Eligibility

Available delivery methods are determined by the destination and applicable fulfillment rules.

Retail Blackbook may offer different options for local Arizona destinations and destinations outside the local service area.

Some products or services may not be available to every ZIP code.

Remote areas, restricted-access locations, islands, certain rural areas, military addresses, P.O. boxes, or other destinations may require special arrangements or may not be eligible for certain services.

Availability shown during checkout controls for the applicable transaction.

A delivery estimate generated for one ZIP code does not apply to a different destination.

7.Address Accuracy and Address Changes

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate:

  • recipient name;
  • delivery address;
  • ZIP code;
  • telephone number;
  • email address;
  • gate or access instructions;
  • unit or suite number;
  • building requirements;
  • and other information reasonably necessary to complete delivery.

Customers should review the shipping address carefully before completing an order.

An address change requested after an order has been submitted may not be possible.

Changing the destination may:

  • change delivery eligibility;
  • change the delivery charge;
  • require a new freight quote;
  • delay the shipment;
  • require carrier reconsignment;
  • or result in additional carrier charges.

Retail Blackbook is not responsible for delays or additional charges resulting from incorrect customer-provided address information to the extent permitted by law.

Section 8 — Delivery Access and Measurements

BEFORE ORDERING, CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CONFIRMING THAT THE MERCHANDISE IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE INTENDED SPACE AND CAN REASONABLY REACH THAT SPACE.

Customers should measure, as applicable:

  • room dimensions;
  • doorways;
  • entryways;
  • hallways;
  • stairways;
  • stair turns;
  • elevators;
  • elevator doors;
  • gates;
  • corridors;
  • ceiling heights;
  • and other access points.

Product dimensions should also be reviewed before purchase.

Customers are responsible for identifying delivery restrictions such as:

  • gated communities;
  • loading docks;
  • elevator reservations;
  • certificate-of-insurance requirements;
  • restricted delivery hours;
  • parking restrictions;
  • narrow roads;
  • steep driveways;
  • stairs;
  • construction;
  • and building-management rules.

Retail Blackbook cannot guarantee that merchandise will fit through a customer’s access points merely because it fits within the intended room.

If a delivery cannot be completed because merchandise does not fit, access is unsafe or unavailable, building requirements were not arranged, or material access restrictions were not disclosed, redelivery, return freight, storage, handling, or other reasonable charges may apply where permitted by law.

Delivery personnel are not required to remove doors, windows, railings, fixtures, or architectural components or to hoist merchandise unless that service was expressly arranged.

9.Delivery Appointments, Missed Deliveries and Storage

Some freight and delivery services require a scheduled appointment.

Customers are responsible for providing working contact information and responding to reasonable carrier or delivery-provider scheduling communications.

Appointment dates and arrival windows may be estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, prior deliveries, carrier operations, or other circumstances.

Where permitted by law, additional charges may apply if a delivery cannot be completed because:

  • no authorized recipient is available when required;
  • the customer misses a confirmed appointment;
  • the customer refuses access;
  • the delivery address is materially incorrect;
  • required building arrangements were not made;
  • the site is unsafe or inaccessible;
  • or the customer requests redelivery or storage.

Such charges may include reasonable carrier redelivery, reconsignment, detention, storage, return-freight, or handling charges actually incurred.

Customers should not schedule contractors, installers, travel, property closings, events, or other time-sensitive commitments based solely on an estimated furniture delivery date.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Retail Blackbook is not responsible for third-party costs or consequential expenses caused solely by a change in an estimated shipment or delivery date.

10.Shipment and Delivery Timing

Product availability, processing times, production times, estimated ship dates, transit times, and estimated delivery dates are estimates unless Retail Blackbook expressly states otherwise.

An estimated SHIP date refers to when merchandise is expected to leave or be tendered from the applicable manufacturer, supplier, or fulfillment location.

An estimated DELIVERY date refers to when merchandise is expected to reach the customer.

These are not the same event.

Estimated timing may be affected by:

  • manufacturer production;
  • inventory availability;
  • order processing;
  • vendor closures;
  • freight capacity;
  • weather;
  • transportation disruptions;
  • carrier scheduling;
  • destination access;
  • holidays;
  • and circumstances outside Retail Blackbook’s reasonable control.

Retail Blackbook will not use this Policy to eliminate rights customers have under applicable shipment-timing laws.

Where applicable law requires Retail Blackbook to provide notice of a shipment delay, obtain consent to a delay, provide a cancellation option, or issue a refund for unshipped merchandise, Retail Blackbook will provide the rights and remedies required by that law.

A delivery delay occurring after merchandise has timely shipped may be treated differently from a failure to ship within a legally applicable promised shipment period.

11.Inspection at Delivery

Customers should inspect the condition of merchandise and packaging promptly at delivery.

When reasonably possible, customers should:

  • count the cartons or pieces;
  • inspect packaging for visible damage;
  • inspect visible merchandise condition;
  • verify that the apparent item is correct;
  • photograph damaged packaging or merchandise;
  • and note visible damage or shortages on the carrier’s delivery documentation before signing.

Signing a delivery receipt without noting visible damage may make a carrier claim more difficult, although it does not eliminate any right that applicable law does not permit to be waived.

If merchandise appears materially or severely damaged, substantially incomplete, or clearly incorrect, the customer should document the condition and contact Retail Blackbook promptly.

Do not discard packaging, cartons, labels, or protective materials relating to a damage claim until Retail Blackbook or the applicable claim administrator confirms they are no longer needed.

12.Damage, Shortages and Incorrect Items

Freight damage, concealed damage, missing parts, shortages, incorrect merchandise, and product defects should be reported to Retail Blackbook as soon as reasonably possible after discovery.

For freight-related issues, reporting within 24 hours of delivery is strongly encouraged because prompt documentation can materially improve the ability to pursue a carrier or manufacturer claim.

The 24-hour request is an operational claim-reporting guideline and does not eliminate a customer right or remedy that applicable law does not permit Retail Blackbook to waive.

Retail Blackbook may request:

  • photographs of the item;
  • photographs of all sides of the packaging;
  • shipping labels;
  • model or SKU labels;
  • serial numbers;
  • delivery paperwork;
  • photographs showing the issue;
  • video where reasonably useful;
  • and a written description of the problem.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable manufacturer or carrier process, a remedy may include:

  • replacement parts;
  • repair;
  • technician service;
  • replacement;
  • manufacturer-authorized allowance;
  • refund;
  • or another commercially reasonable remedy.

A complete replacement is not automatically required when a lawful and reasonable repair, replacement part, or other remedy adequately addresses the issue.

The separate Returns & Damage Policy will provide additional claim and return procedures.

13.Refused Delivery

Customers should not refuse delivery solely because of minor carton wear or cosmetic packaging damage when the merchandise itself may be undamaged.

If merchandise appears materially damaged, is clearly the wrong product, or delivery documentation materially conflicts with the order, the customer should document the issue and contact Retail Blackbook promptly.

Where circumstances reasonably justify refusal, customers should note the reason for refusal on applicable delivery documentation where possible.

An unauthorized refusal based on buyer’s remorse, measurement error, decorating preference, inability to fit merchandise through the property, failure to arrange access, or another reason not attributable to damage, defect, or Retail Blackbook error may be treated as a customer-requested return or cancellation and may result in applicable freight, storage, handling, restocking, or other reasonable nonrecoverable charges where permitted by law.

Refusal of delivery does not automatically entitle the customer to a full refund where the applicable product is non-returnable or the reason for refusal is not a valid return basis.

14.Unattended or Authorized Delivery

Certain carriers or service levels may permit a customer to authorize delivery without the customer being physically present.

If a customer affirmatively authorizes an unattended delivery or identifies another person as an authorized recipient, the carrier may complete delivery in accordance with that authorization.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that any authorized drop location is reasonably safe and suitable.

Nothing in this section changes responsibility for damage that occurred before completed delivery or any right that applicable law does not permit to be waived.

15.Customer Pickup

Where Warehouse Pickup is offered, Retail Blackbook will provide or coordinate applicable pickup information.

Customers should not arrive for pickup until notified that merchandise is available or an appointment has been confirmed where required.

Customers are responsible for:

  • suitable transportation;
  • adequate cargo capacity;
  • blankets or protective materials where needed;
  • tie-downs or securing equipment;
  • lawful vehicle operation;
  • and safe transportation after pickup.

The customer should inspect merchandise and packaging at pickup when reasonably possible.

Once merchandise has been released into the customer’s or authorized representative’s possession, damage caused by subsequent loading, transportation, weather exposure, unloading, storage, or handling is the customer’s responsibility, except for pre-existing damage, defects, or rights that applicable law provides otherwise.

16.Events Outside Reasonable Control

Delivery and fulfillment may be affected by circumstances outside Retail Blackbook’s reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, governmental action, labor interruptions, carrier disruption, port congestion, supply-chain interruption, manufacturer shutdown, infrastructure failure, cyberattack, or widespread technology or communications outages.

Retail Blackbook will make commercially reasonable efforts to address affected transactions.

Nothing in this section permits Retail Blackbook to avoid a refund, cancellation right, delay notice, or other remedy when applicable law requires one.

17.Relationship to Returns, Warranties and Terms

This Shipping & Delivery Policy supplements the Retail Blackbook Terms of Use & Sale.

Manufacturer warranty matters may also be governed by applicable manufacturer warranty terms.

The separate Returns & Damage Policy governs additional return, damage, defect, and claim procedures.
